As we fight two battles in this Country, the war against COVID 19, and the struggle for justice and equality, the members of Buffalo's Near East and lower West Side Task Force, are committed to fight for health and educational justice, as we continue to address the disease of racism and all "isims" that steals the strength of our community.
We are tired of the unnecessarily and wrongful taking of lives. Business as usual has taken the lives of too many African American, Black, Brown men, women and children in this Country.
All --not just the peaceful protesters in the streets---must speak out and condemn these dastardly acts, and take action against the public health and educational crises that exist in the United States of America, and yes, Western New York.
Over 15 years ago, the Task Force was formed as the Buffalo Community was overwhelmed with the killing of several Black men by the "22 caliber killer". Fast forward, the community is once again overwhelmed by grief that has consumed the nation. As members of the Near East and lower West Side Task Force, we stand together, UNITED, against indifference, bigotry and hatred, for we do believe, WE SHALL OVERCOME.
Mientras enfrentamos dos batallas en este país, la guerra contra el COVID 19, y la lucha por la justicia e igualdad, los miembros del Near East and lower West Side Task Force de Búfalo, están comprometidos a luchar por justicia en los servicios de salud y la educación, mientras continuamos trabajando con el mal del racismo y todos los "ismos" que le roban la fuerza a nuestra comunidad.
Estamos cansados de las muertes innecesarias e injustas. La rutina presente a tomado las vidas de demasiados hombres, mujeres y niños afroamericanos, negros, y morenos.
Todos --no solo los que protestan pacíficamente en las calles—tenemos que hablar claro y condenar estos actos ruines, y tomar acción en contra de la crisis en la educación y los servicios de salud que existe en los Estados Unidos de América, y si, en el Oeste de Nueva York.
Hace más de 15 años atrás, el Task Force fue formado mientras la comunidad de Búfalo estaba agobiada con los asesinatos de varios hombres negros por el "22 caliber killer". Hoy día, la comunidad una vez más es agobiada por el dolor que consume la nación. Como miembros del Near East and lower West Side Task Force, estamos de pie, UNIDOS, en contra de la indiferencia, intolerancia y odio, por eso creemos, QUE LO VAMOS A SUPERAR.
